not going to say much about the cohesion i had today basically its ice skating followed by laser quest i will just wait for the pictures to come in they are the ones that will speak a thousand words =)
and i came across this question from many entities Wi's situation F.R.I.E.N.D.S sitcom series books movies and online articles
weddings is that important to people? i see people making a big fuss out of it all the time a grand wedding in a great hotel or restaurant inviting tons of people whether you know them or not opening champagne and toasting to anybody you see kissing the bride/groom in front of everyone and wad i said was just the normal modern wedding dinner there is still muslim, chinese and other culture's wedding the christian/catholic walking down the aisle practise ...
well i understand that its important to alot of girls they have waited their whole life to put on a wedding dress to look the most beautiful on that special day going on a rampage to make everything perfect anticipating the moment both the groom and her say "i do" yes, those are important stuff that day will mark the day which 2 ppl exchange their vows and will be living with each other thru thick and thin but, the question comes again is a grand wedding really important? couldn't a small simple one suffice? gathering at a cosy place with all your loved ones it can actually be quite a simple memorable day right?
is WEDDING really that important? isn't MARRIAGE suppose to be the important one?

Name Hope... Virtue... Solitude... Devotion... Sorrow... Love...
not gonna post anything about the 2 outings i had nothing much to really post about it anyway
this post is dedicated to my name
i am so sorry "Alex" u are getting obsolete everywhere everyday in anyway "Ngiam" pops up 50% of the time why? becos ngiam is so much more unique as compare to alex i use to have a few "alex" in camp and before i got my new name tag, only "ngiam" was there hence ngiam is my official name in camp only S1 sean and kw calls me Alex already
the next 50% of the time 25% was spent calling me "Easley" why? becos in tagboard, in eForum, in alot other places i uses Easley as my alias burgerboi is far too childish alrdy (thou i still love it) and easley was given to me by a long lost fren hence i cherished it even di & wi stopped calling me alex and calls me ngiam (most of the time) or easley alrdy
... but i dun hate or dislike "Alex" the remainning 25% is "Alex" why? "Alex" was given to me by my aunt my parents loved that name and damn bloody obvious its my NRIC name so nowadays i see "Alex" as a name which only family call
Ngiam - my surname, my common addressing since poly Easley - my alias, a given by a fren Alex - my birthname, tt of which was given by my aunt all three names of mine are important to me! :P
weird post due to bo liao-ness

monday after work rushed down to PS with jin bought the long awaited ticket for WALL.E!
a really nice show, while it can be ABIT boring in the beginning please watch through the show entirely dun be like CLOVIS "i watch it for 10 mins, fell aslp... woke up after 10 mins and i walk out of the cinema"
i think i almost slapped him on the spot...
anyway, below is a review of the movie that i wrote in www.imdb.com read thru if you think my comment matters
--------------------------------- "If we can live in a real world with cold blooded criminals
Why can't we watch an animated film with heart warming robots?
I had just watched WALL.E earlier this week - it is without a doubt one of the best animated film i've ever watched and i find it a challenge to describe the brilliance of this show. Note that i am not trying to change the minds of people who finds this show "over-rated" or "a retarded show". To each their own, i have the rights to love, they have the rights to dislike.
WALL.E - acronyms for Waste Allocation Load Lifter.Earth-class, is a film that sets our hero as a robot named WALL.E. WALL.E is a lonely robot who dutifully collects waste, compresses them into square cubes and neatly stack them together, forming skyscrapers of dumps and trashes with only an indestructible roach as his companion ever since human left Earth due to over pollution and dump wastes. After 700 years of solitude, a sudden visit of a spaceship introduces WALL.E to EVE (Extraterrestrial Vegetation Evaluator) a sleek white high tech robot who was deployed back to Earth to search for plantation life form on Earth for hopes of human returning home. It was love at first sight for our squarish friend and he embark on an adventure of his life time to seek out his heart-throb.
The concept is real. The pollution and great increase in the damage of our environment is not some cock and bull story to frighten people into conserving and caring for our planet Earth.
The animation is fantastic. The 3D effect of the show made the world look pretty much too real at times, small details like the cloudy atmosphere, reddish sky, dried up ground, all the way down to the pebbles and debris contributes to the art of a great animation.
The storyline is simple. Yes, its simple and sweet, and thats what makes the show an enjoyment for people. a robot falls in love with another robot, he seek her out, help her in her mission to recover a plant, and earth sweet earth... its that simple! think again, there ain't many shows that can be this simple and yet so captivating right?
The portray of WALL.E as a simple minded robot is impressive, he have character, determination, personality and most important of all, a human heart. EVE is not one robot to belittle either, her cute laughter, occasion aggressive approach, fierce loyalty for her job and strong-will makes her a lovable character too! Many other robots in the show is like the icing on a cake, they are small, but they are indispensable, each of them have their own unique feature.
Pixar continues to surprise and pleases us in many many different ways, while the whole story is mostly about WALL.E and EVE's romance and journey. The message which is being delivered is crystal clear - "Save The Environment" - nothing much to elaborate here right? Another message which is entrenched within is none other than... us.
The people in the animation is shown to be over-sized creatures who relies on technology for everything. Each and everyone slouching on a hovercraft that provides transportation and virtual communication, robots at their beck and call, clap once for a drink, click a button for change of clothes. Most people, and most reviews i read state that this is obviously showing our pending downfall due to die-hard reliance on electronic applications and gadgets. I however not only see the humans end result inside depicted as our future... I happens to view it as our PRESENT. It maybe quite an extreme way of an example, but think again... we are constantly submerging ourselves in material needs, doing what we are 'suppose' to do, studying, working, going through the rat race of every aspect in our own tiny world thinking the sun revolves around us, neglecting the bigger world out there, and what i think is that we need a push to get us out of the virtual chairs, and start noticing what we have around us.
Conclusion: Strongly encourages all of you out there to catch this movie, while i can't assure you that you will love it, it may just get you thinking about things in many different light. For me at the very least, WALL.E really got me thinking a lot, from the simplicity of the storyline, to the complexity of the messages hidden within. WALL.E satisfy me more than any animated show so far and Pixar is in for a challenge to produce a better film than this... but then again, i thought of the same line after "Finding Nemo" and voilĂ ! Along came WALL.E.
